I am trying to find out any information at all on Douglas Walters born 1936. He was born in Watford, Hertfordshire and his parents were Douglas and Verena Walters. Apart from birth details I can not find any mention of him anywhere. I have been trying for years now to find out anything on him. If you have a father or grandfather that was maybe adopted (although I do not think he was) and the date of birth fits then please get in touch.....
I believe up until he was around 10 or 11 he lived with his father in the Godalming area.
Anything at all I would be ever so grateful for...

I am thinking he may have gone to live in another country.

How did you work back to him?

And........please remove his actual DOB.

You have given every scrap of info needed for identity theft..............

Who registered his father's death?

Did the father re-marry?

Have you looked for info on freebmd?

What happened to his sister?

On the Memories of Goldalming site, Kelly has said that (edit to Douglas) was her Uncle and that he lived there in 1944.

Have you tried Friendsreunited? They have a schools section.

He might have been sent to Australia or Canada after WW2 as part of the child migration scheme. If you haven't explored that option, there are probably websites devoted to those

It is always possible that he has died since 2005/6 which are the last years that the gro index on line goes to.

Thank you.
Brenda was Douglas' sister and also my Nan. She died in 2006. She was adopted in 1935.
Douglas Walters senior did go on to remarry and have two more children and I believe it would have been his second wife who registered his death in 1966.
As for Douglas Walters junior he seems to have vanished, no marriage certificate, or death certificate, not on anybodys tree and I can not find him on any passenger lists etc...

Possibly he too was adopted and his name changed

Yes did think that myself however I know he remained with his Father until he was around 10/11, even if he was adopted I would think he would still be called Douglas. I have searched all records just using Douglas and his date of birth.
