Member Since: January 2007 Posts: 497 Send Message	Being a female I know that I cant have a DNA test to find the roots of my fathers line, and with not having any male family suitable I wondered if my sisters son would do as he must have my fathers genes being his grandson . Does anyone know if this is possibe? Thank You

	Just be aware that our nephew's Y chromosome will come from his father as his mother has 2 X chromosomes - one from each parent. Not sure what you are hoping to discover with all this? Jan

	These tests cannot tell you anything remotely useful They are a moneymaking scam

	The test for yDNA is for the male line only. Your sister's son with have that DNA from his father, not from your father.
