Through a distant relative I have inherited a small trophy. I have no idea of its provenance but suspect it has been passed down though various marriages, ex-husbands/wives etc. The name (subject) means nothing to my family but if possible I'd like to pass it on to the person's relative. The inscription reads

St Matthews Boys School
Denmark Hill
awarded to
John Fountain
winner of
Athletic Sports Championship Cup
1910-11-12
Presented by
Mr & Mrs Peal

I've been unable to trace the school, but if any of the Genes Reunited community has any ideas of suggestions that would be appreciated

Many Thanks

Jonesey

It would appear that one member has the above John Fountain 1898 St Lukes in their tree. It would be worth sending her a message, she may well still be an active member.
