Problem with Ancestry?

Hi

Is anyone else having problems opening original documents on their site?

I can surf around and see the transcriptions of Wills and censuses but when I click to view the document, it just times out and cannot open the page

I've tried restarting my pc........hopeless!

:-S

Just checked one saved in my 'shoe box'. It opened OK.

I do have problems with the site when it first opens - my PC freezes for about a minute while it chunders. That's probably something my end rather than theirs.

Want to copy the transcript so someone else has a go?

Opens fine! How about giving them a ring? They'll probably say you need to update something or other!

Det

Phoned them and they seem to think its a problem with BT ISP as they have had a few calls today and they all use BT

Will wait for BT to sort it then!

Thanks for your help

Ancestry have contacted BT-advise from BT

" power off the BT Hub for 30 seconds and retry"

Apparently this has worked
