Well the marriage cert to your mum will give his age and fathers name if known And sometimes a witness could be family. |

Shirley, the possible 2nd marriage is recorded as Lance N V Nicholson - it's a bit hard to tell if it's an H or an N on the image. It's in the same place though, 4 years later. |

Dawn, if you are sure of the birth, my advice would be to get his birth cert. This will give you details of his parents, which might give you something else to work on. |

His birth was registered under the surname Miller. Perhaps his mother remarried later. |
