Margaret's birth:

1905 STEWART MARGARET FOYER F LASSWADE /MIDLOTHIAN 691/00 0241

If you buy credits on SP, you can view the image online at SP, and print a copy if you wish.

It will tell you her parents' names, mother's maiden name, father's occupation, and when and where they married.

Hi,
thanks for the help, its much appreciated. I dont have any info on where Margaret was born, I presume Scotland? On Patrick's death certificate the informant is Samuel Stewart brother in law. Her marriage certificate states her father was a mining contractor?

If they had children born in Scotland, it's not possible to search on ScotlandsPeople for them, or at least only by father's surname, as the search facility doesn't allow search by mother's maiden name - at least not for such recent births.

Far too many Walkers born 1938-48 in Scotland to be able to narrow it down, even if you knew which town they were born in. (31 in Lochee, Dundee alone - ie - where Patrick died, but don't know if that's where they lived, or for how long)

Her death cert will be the best possible source of (some of) that information about children, also home address.
Or Patrick's - I assume this is his??:

1948 WALKER PATRICK WILLIAM M 60 LOCHEE
DUNDEE CITY/ANGUS 282/04 0095

If you buy credits on SP, you can view the image of his death cert online, and print a copy if you wish.

You say they travelled to Bombay in 1941.

They also returned in 1941:

Sorry but Scottish records cost for look ups . they are on Scotlands People website which isnt a subs site but you have to purchase units to find any ref from which after c1911 you have to buy the certs through them costing about £10

I take it you already have her birth and marriage records, and her husband's death cert, and don't need us to find and post those here?

This looks like her death:

1974 WALKER MARGARET FOYER
ms STEWART F 68 RATHO /MIDLOTHIAN 768/00 0007

If you buy the death cert, you can see who the informant was - maybe a child, if she had any.
Can't view the image online for such a recent death.

I'm trying to find records of Margaret Foyer Reid Stewart b 1906. She married Patrick William Baker Walker 22 July 1938 in Edinburgh. Her husband dies in Dundee in 1948. I know they travelled to Bombay in 1941 as Patrick was a merchant. Margaret has also travelled to Iran in 1937 occupation nurse and travels back occupation governess in 1938. Any other info would be great. I can find no death record. I dont know if she had children?

Thanks in anticipation
