Just thought I would mention that bmd's can be found for free at
https://familysearch.org/search

For England and Wales

Freebmd is the one we normally suggest but their records only go up to the 1970's

Just did a random test looks like it goes up to 2005/6 but there are also some records up to 2008

that's good to know Jax

I've just been searching them ...................... they look as though they have acquired them from ancestry :-)

but it is good to know there is a free site where people can look for bmds after 1970

I dont know where they got them from but

Births could be up to 2008

Deaths could be up to 2007

Marriages up to 2005

Which is more than Ancestry have

I knew they had the bmd's on there, but did'nt notice until last night how recent they had them... until I found my own marriage in the 80s and daughters births in the 90s.

Yes I noticed a 2011 billiongraves death as well Thelma
