My Grandma Grace Bishop married my Grandad Darrell St Quintin Dales in Doncaster 1924. They had 6 children, my Mum Eunice, Frederick, David, Dorothy, Pauline and Arnold all born Dales. My Mum Married my Dad Frederick George Bayley, they had 5 Children born with the Surname Bayley, myself, Nigel Mark, then Malcolm Frederick, Linda Grace, Keith Vincent, Christopher Shaun, of which I am 2nd youngest at 52 this year!

All the above names you mention tally with names my Mum has mentioned over the years, my Sisters middle name was given in memory of my Grandma Grace, Keiths' middle name is also given in respect of a relative with the name of Vincent as I recall.

It appears we are indeed related Chris. Please stay in contact and perhaps exchange other information we can attain?

Oh by the way, two of my Nieces were given the middle name Charlotte and my Cousin Rhonda in Canada named one of her Daughters Charlotte with respect also!

Nigel if you have /get the marriage certificate you will then be able to confirm whether Grace Bishop's father was George and that the family above are correct. You will then be able to go further back with your family history. It's looking good if the names tally with info your mum has given you over the years.

Grace and Darrell actually had 9 children but 3 named Vincent, Audrey and Keith didn't survive.

There is a copy of George William's birth certificate and his marriage certificate to Annie Stamp on Ancestry but the viewer is not working at the moment to see the details.

George William Bishop born 19 September 1871, mother Charlotte Bishop. No father named.

When George married Annie on 15 Sept. 1890 he named his father as George Bishop, deceased, Farmer.
