could somebody let me know if undefined on ancestry means that you cannot contact a member i have tried and sent message but the message does not come up on sent messages.

Strange - never see that before.

Does their tree have 'sources' such as links to census attached? If not, they could be a non-subscribing member.

If you google "undefined on ancestry" it comes up with lots of options, ranging from bugs to people who aren't following the rules!! :-S :-S

I had this experience a couple of days ago.

I sent a message via the system, but it didn't show up in the sent messages.

I was convinced it must not have sent. I thought I was going crazy!

Couple of days later, I got a reply!
