I have just seen a copy of a death certificate for 1839.
The man was 68 years old and the cause of death was given as "Worn Out"

Brilliant !

I've 'Senile Decay' on a cert from 1840's.

"Visitation of God" is another one I quite like.

More recently both my mother and mother-in-law had "frailty of old age" as cause of death.
