Hi All,

I have created an account in familysearch, thinking that I would be able to view the images. However, I don't seem to be able to view anything. Has anyone had any success viewing images?

regards

Gillian

Some FamilySearch restricted images may be viewed when a user is signed-in to FamilySearch.

Some images may only be viewed online by members of supporting organizations.

Other images are only viewable on computers at family history centers.

Hi

Thanks for your replies.

I think that I cannot access the images from my computer. Familysearch say:

This image is available:
•When using the site at a family history center.
•To signed-in members of supporting organizations.

I have signed in but am not maybe considered as a supporting organisation?

Regards

Gillian

Sounds like you need to visit a family history centre to access them

"This image is available:
•When using the site at a family history center."

Despite creating an account, I had similar problems some time ago. 'Support' said they could see the image and coudn't understand why I couldn't.

The answer, which they failed to give, was probably to go to a FHC.

Most of the time, the account is unnecessary - you can already view the image (like the US federal census), or you can't view the image (like the English census).
Very occassionally, I've had to log in to view an image - the last two times was for (differeent) US state censuses.
