Many thanks everyone. My partner is daughter of Ada Rankoff who destroyed virtually all papers/photos and would not talk about her family fearing a German occupation. Joseph/Jopeth arrived in UK from Russia (pogrom escape) possibly as a widower with son Harry and possibly other sons. Have been unable to ascertain when he arrived in UK but it must be before 1900 to have married Annie when he did. He presumably arrived into London but from which European port and what ship and shipping line? Much to find out!

There's no marriage for Joseph so as she was also of Russian origin it may be they married before arriving in the uk

They say married 11 years but they aren't on the 1901 census
