Could I please ask for a lookup on the newspaper site?

In the general view I can see a reference to someone in extended family.

Would prefer to give details by p m as close family members are still living.

I don't think GR hold any records themselves - they take their records from other sites, like Findmypast which is the same company.

Kath, Thank you for replying.

A Google search brings up a name of interest and apparently features on a family announcement in 1944.
The initial search indicates the newspaper and detail is on this GR site.

I've replied to Gwyn, there is nothing coming up via the GR search either so I've asked her to find the google link so I can try to see if that gets anything.

Have come across this before, I bought some credits at one point to access a record - but although coming up on google search did not get any results on this site (or any of the others for that matter).

Gwyn's link worked, so I've no idea why it's not coming up on site searches but does on a google search.

It wouldn't let me save to my computer just put in keepsafe, and I don't know how to just share this with just Gwyn - so have transcribed instead

Many thanks Flip.

Most interesting, but it poses another question, so I will have to research further.

That's the great thing about family history.

An answer often leads onto the next question.

Many thanks for helping.
