Oh Linda!! Thank you [again] sooo much. I am really thrilled you found my Urens. With such a paucity of information - apart from names - I thought they might prove elusive. Thanks again Victoria

Hi Linda, Pehaps I wrote too much on my first request for you to read. JAMES MCDOUGALL went to Canada from Scotland on the first ship to sail after the Titanic but I would like to know which one, where from and anything else there may be to know about him which might help to correctly slot him into my family. Thank you for your kind offer to look up for all of us. Regards, Gill

Hi Gillian, I was very interested to hear about James Macdougall but am a little confused. Am I right in saying that you think he missed boarding the Titanic and got the next ship after that. Then you said he went from Scotland.....but the Titanic sailed from Southampton. Can you tell me again please.....Sorryyyyyy Linda

Hi Linda. James McDougall did miss the Titanic and went on the next ship. My grandparents must have travelled from Scotland to Southampton to wave him off on his way to a new life. ( I did not know which port the Titanic sailed from-something I ought to have known) Regards, Gill

Hello Linda, I'm hoping for information on 2 of my great Uncles. Charles Edward Harris b 1862 emigrated to Australia some time after WW1. He had a wife Ellen and 3 children, William C Harris, Herbert G Harris and Elizabeth Harris. Frederick Oliver Harris b 1877 went to Canada also after WW1. I think he was single. That's all the information I have except that Charles was a butcher before the war. I know it's a long shot as I've no idea where they went. Thanks Janice.

Hi Linda, Just a catch up. I sent you a message of thanks and a request for a look up on the 23rd July. Unfortunately I went away on the 25th and wondered if you had found anything for me. It was regarding Edward Grimshaw going to ? New York about 1902. As you asked what his occupation was, he was a miner but went to work in the Auto industry. Hoping you found his passage, Joan x

Hi Linda This is a very kind offer. Please could you look up the following people please. I think that the men went to Canada but where their sister went to (if anywhere!) is anybody's guess: Arthur Francis TREDCROFT b1880 Bernard Eversfield TREDCROFT b 1883 Barbara (Edith) TREDCROFT b1886 - I can't find a UK marriage for her so I think that if she went abroad it would be under her own name. Many thanks Bo
