Catherine Report 29 Apr 2007 18:27

Hi Deb, Here's some info on James Norden, born 1872, Blacksmith. My mum said he used to have a Blacksmith shop in London. James Norden married a Mary Ann Florence born in 1873 who died 26 March 1935, sorry i dont know her maiden name as my aunt has an old clipping from a local newspaper dated April 5th 1935 with info on the funeral so my aunt and my mum got the info about their nan from that. James and Mary had five daughters and one son their names are Selina Norden born abt 1903 Queenie Norden born abt 1906 Doris Norden born abt 1911 Betty Norden born abt 1912 (name might be Elizabeth) Ida Norden born abt 1913 James William Patrick Norden born 1915 in Billericay, Essex My mum said she was told that the family kept moving, because the blacksmith trade started to die out, they kept having to move to where the work was, one of the areas they lived in was Edmonton. Also on the 1901 cencus you said that james mother was a widow, i dont think she was ever married. Thank you for all your help, its much appreciated. Catherine
