For those who live in Scotland or near Historic scotland are having a free weekend. This is from their website For one weekend only, entry won’t cost you a penny at Historic Scotland’s magnificent attractions. On 21 and 22 April 2007, Historic Scotland opens the doors, drawbridges, hatches, portcullises and gates to over 70 of their attractions for the Free Weekend. The annual event encourages visitors to discover more about the nation’s fascinating history and heritage Yhought you might like to know- if you've kids or grandkids its 3 great days out, Stirling castle Sat - Edinburgh Castle Sun- all free!!!! Its not true what they say about scots being mean Helena
