Mike Just to confuse me, I have a Ward marrying a Ward. As you may remember you helped with George Isaac and he is buried at Welford Road in unconsecrated ground. My cousin has just received a marriage cert and George's son (George) marries at St Pauls Chapel according to the ceremonies of the Methodist New Connexion and in George's grave is one of George jnrs children. Would this Methodist connection be a possible reason for them in unconsecrated ground (have now got to do some homework on the Methodist connection) Elaine

Greeting’s Again …….. Elaine. Here are all those buried in plot U. F. 12. F 12 S WARD GEORGE ISAAC 1865 DEC 3 48 SLAWSON STREET SAINT GEORGE 16463 F 12 F WARD MARY ANN 1868 MAR 2 1 HAVELOCK STREET SAINT MARY 20002 F 12 F WARD GEORGE ISAAC 1871 MAR 15 3MTHS ROYAL EAST STREET SAINT MARGARET 25792 F 12 F WARD ELIZA ANN 1875 MAY 25 8 NAPIER STREET SAINT MARY 34211 F 12 F WARD AMINA LEONORA 1879 APR 2 6MTHS RAGLAN STREET SAINT MARY 42088 F 12 F WARD ANN 1888 JUN 23 74 LEICESTER BOROUGH ASYLUM HUMBERSTONE 62096 S. ~ Single Burial. F. ~ Family Brick Plot. To answer your query as to if George was a Methodist.? I would say that was a strong possibility. Also that might just answer why he married via a License. ? Methodist marring in a C o E Church.? Also seeing that he purchased a Brick lined Plot. It would follow that it was his request that any members of his Family would be able use it. So save those not so well off the cost of a purchasing a plot of their own ? Remember that most of the Church grave yards within the City boundaries Were getting full at this time and all burials were directed to the New Civil Cemetery Welford Road. MIKE. ( Also a Methodist.)

Cert No. 7 a. 445. Mother’s Maiden Name = BALL. In order to find possible Parents & Family You’ll have to get Arthur’s birth Certificate 1st. Hopefully it will give you a clue to the Father Plus district of Leicester. Then we can have another look Too many Bullock Names to chose from the 1901. Census returns For within the City of Leicester. To make an educated guess at this time. Plus 1913 was the run up to WW II so details could be patchy. Hope to hear from you soon. MIKE.
