Mike Re latest query. Do not think Thomas is George's brother, agreed both sons of a William but William's occupation and address differs within one month of the marriage of Thomas and George. Had George been living with parents on 51 census then I would have no problem. Regards Jon O'Kent Hi Loz Yes still at it, too many George's, Joseph's and William's, driving me round the bend, it is only Mike's help that is keeping me sane !!!! Jon

Hello again Mike I'd like to say thanks again for helping me with my Peacocks sometime ago but wondered if I could ask for another favour. :) I'm trying to find the parents of an Ann Waldrom/Waldram who married Christopher Peacock in St margarets Leicester in 1831. Her birth date is approx 1804. I have a family of Waldrams in the St leonard district which I wonder if she belongs to them, but I can't find her birth. I believe Ann registered her illegitimate son William in St leonards in dec 1828. The family of Waldroms I have are parents William born c1766 and Elizabeth born c1781 (not sure about dates for parents though, could be the wrong William and Elizabeth) their children Elizabeth born 1810, Mary born 1812, Eleanor born 1815 and Jane born 1818. Any help would be greatly appreciated : ). Loz P.S Hi to John Tomkins glad to see you're still on the Tomkins hunt :)

Mike Thanks for your quick reply. Could well be Mary WIDDOWSON, if it shows William & Mary TOMKINS on the register then George must have been born after 1834, that could be interesting as on Georges marriage cert in 1851 he states his age as 22, don't lke the look of that !!!! Regards Jon O'Kent

Hi Mike Are you going to the records office this week? Was hoping you could have a peek at this and tell me which church it was or help me with some background from your vast knowledge. GEORGE MOORE - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Adult Christening: 08 SEP 1829 Nailstone, Leicester, England Age at Adult Christening: 50 Batch No CO96331 It seems some of the early Moores are baptists, have chased his son's marriage to Hugglescote and spoke to the Rector who says the marriage according to the wording would be Cof E and then would have been St James's (chapel of ease) which has now been knocked down. That one was 24 Jan 1843 George Moore and Sarah Kendrick Chapel of Hugglescote,Ibstock, Leicester For George the younger have this and think it is C of E looking at a list I have found St. John The Baptist Church, Whitwick. 279 31 July 1816 Moor George son of George and Ann Thringstone Framework Knitter What do you think? Hi Mike, I'm trying to find the Birth/Christening date for an Edward Blount born 1829 in Leicester. I'm not sure which part of Leicester, as I only have this information from the censuses that I've found him on. Edward is the furthest I've got back to, so anything more on him or any of his ascendents would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time, Stacey.

I wonder if anyone has any connection to Melbourne Hall, Leicester? My great grandfather was a missionary in China and was somehow supported by this church. I know they had a newsletter to which he contributed articles about his work in China and they too wrote about him and his family. The names are Frank and Marjorie HARMON and it would be from 1880ish to 1940s. Suzanne
