After I've had a lie down......do you have the marriage cert (Yes, you do!) Can you look carefully at the brides name and tell me if it's spelled as on the IGI? Sarah Emily Sigston?? I can't find anyone of that name anywhere!! If we could find her before the marriage she might help to find them afterwards (unless they left the country!) Did you say who the witnesses were? Do you know that they had children? Merry

hope you arent lying down because I have given you a headache????? The marriage Cert does say Sarah Emily Sigston Spinster fathers name Henry Samuel Sigston witnesses Henry Alfred Sigston and a Rebecca Keen could be his sister What is annoying I have found out loads about Sarahs family but even her rellies dont know what happened to her after she married . I know some of her family were in Australia at the time and I know her mother was born in Barbados but came here before she married . I do appreciate your help , I must go in a minute ,hubbies is getting a bit lonely back later. Dont worry too much over them I know how busy you are ,thanks so much Cert already ordered Val

Praise indeed! lol Not bad yourself either, Olde Crone!! Tee hee!! 1861....so, here's the bride to be: Edmund Ligston abt 1854 St Pancras, Middlesex, England Son St Pancras Middlesex Frances Ligston abt 1816 W I B S, Barbados Wife St Pancras Middlesex Frances Ligston abt 1848 Kings; Deighton, Devon, England Daughter St Pancras Middlesex Francis Ligston abt 1843 St Georges, Middlesex, England Son St Pancras Middlesex Frederic Ligston abt 1841 St Georges, Middlesex, England Son St Pancras Middlesex Henry A Ligston abt 1839 St Georges, Middlesex, England Son St Pancras Middlesex Henry S Ligston abt 1816 Windsor, Berkshire, England Head St Pancras Middlesex Marian Ligston abt 1837 Shipton, Yorkshire, England Daughter St Pancras Middlesex >>>>>Sarah Ligston abt 1851 St Pancras, Middlesex, England Daughter St Pancras Middlesex This family got about a bit, didn't they??! Father, Henry Sigston was a railway clerk. So, it's a shame that Mrs Keen didn't want to say she was born in Pancras in later years :o(( Merry

Rebecca Report 14 Jul 2006 14:16

Ive found several more 'adopted' in census info over the past few days and one adapted bless her and the ones I have found seem to have been stray children that have been taken in bless em not children from previous relationships. A lot of adopted children in my family then, me included.
