Hi Cheryl - Many thanks for the 1841 - This is as good a bet as I will get because I have only the names of father and son and Timothy age is spot on. Could you take a punt on the 1851 etc for me. I know that by the 1881 Timothy had married an Elizabeth Richards, in 1878. I would suspect that he had been married before because he was 45 in 1881 - a bit late for a first marriage. Could I have an image of the 1841 is I message you my email address? Regards Rita PS - must do some shopping so will pop back later.

Hi Cheryl, I would love some help if you still feel like it, I'm a bit stuck at the moment, I also can't access ancestry because of a problem with my payment details - very frustrating! Hi Cheryl ..........'THANK YOU FOR SO MUCH WORK' Dont know what to think now. Proberly discount the 1891 one because Frederick's not there, and he would only be about 10yrs old. Unless he was playing out with his mates. I'm quite interested in the 1901 where you cant read the fathers occup.. Wonder where the wife was then.? I see two sibs have almost same names ...Frances.+ .Francis....maybe the daughter died and so they named the son after her ! I have taken note of all you have given me. Thank you so much.

Hi Cheryl, William Ketley's birth 31st Oct 1852. That's it recorded at Chelmsford. He came to Australia in 1874 and never returned. He paid his fare 20 pounds. A large fare for the son of Ag Lab.I would think. I found that death and that's what got me thinking. It seems strange that the rest of the family is always together at census. Can't find him in hospital. Have tried local houses in case he had a 'sleep over' and they counted him under that surname. He could have left home by 1871 but I can't find him. He is my great grandfather. Wondering if he was someone else and needed a nmae to get out in a hurry. He was a bit like that in Australia at times. Shifty begger.Thanks.

Hi Cheryl Thats great i didn't know about the other three so that means i can probably reunite a few names now i know a few more potential fathers. As for the marriage details of John C and Amelia thats fantastic if i send for that now i should know for certain about the middle of June the way GRO are at the moment. It would seem they moved around a lot and didn't bother with registration or census,i bet he was a seaman. Thank you very much Bren

Hi Bren On the 1891 Census details you sent me there are 3 other children in the house that you didn't list They are Joseph Goulden 17 born Devon Brickport? Frederick Goulden 14 born Aston Warwickshire Walter Goulden 11 born Aston Warwickshire So I have gone through the 1881 Census till its nearly driven me stupid I was thinking that in 1881 they should have been in Warwickshire which ties in with the Birthdate of Walter etc. But no luck. Really sorry Cheryl
