Yes Heather, must be careful...don't want to get sued. Don't think 1841 could be classed as mitigating circs

Heather

Heather Report 19 Apr 2006 16:31

What, you think we could be liable if he lands on someone Chris??

Watch out, Glen, I think Heather is planning to add a large dollop of gunpowder to your bonfire! Tina

I think he should curl up in a ball...better to fit in the barrel...damage limitation

Glen come back here, act like the man you are, stand straight and tall in times of adversity. Dont stand there like a plonker, step back!

Heather

Heather Report 19 Apr 2006 15:11

Im sorry Glen, but with this attitude, you are going to be the guy in the WW2 film who looks at the picture of his sweetheart and says you will marry her when you get back to Blighty and almost instantly gets blown to smithereens. Stiff upper lip is required for this job - and probably totally stiff body if we actually get you down that cannon barrel.

Watch out Glen's going for the sympathy vote again!!!!

We may be sad, but as long as we contain it on here no-one else need know!

Looks like i fell for the old trick again. You know when the whole line takes one step back, with one exception left standing like an idiot. Pooh and double pooh! Glen

Jess Bow Bag Report 19 Apr 2006 13:14

in a way, this 1841 lark, makes me laugh - we are all desperate...and yet these folk have probably been dead best part of 150 BL**dy years we are sad, sorry, we are !

I predict that GR will be the quietest it's been for ages....we'll all have to sort our own trees first (in fact definitely off my tree already). Thanks again for the laugh Heather.....have just cracked the office up reading the thread. Thread...that brings us back to the trip wire. I vote we put Glen in charge Chris

Heather

Heather Report 19 Apr 2006 12:48

Merry, the trip wire toe thing is for during the hours of sleep, hence the problems you are now experiencing. Jess, Id certainly get a doctors note - tell them you are actually wired up to the machine and disconnection at any time could prove fatal (and not necessarily for you).

Well, with this impending house move (or not!) we have a problem with an internet connection. I have spoken to our ISP , and they dont really understand the concept of 'being without' for the launch of the 1841 census - they want to know if it is a medical condition that will seriously affect my health if i have to be without for the customary 10 days...Plebs! Idiots! fools...of course it will.

Chrispynoodle

Chrispynoodle Report 19 Apr 2006 12:25

The plan is not evil...just cunning........

Joanne

Joanne Report 19 Apr 2006 12:21

I like your thinking - it seems quite 'evil plan'-like! Ok, I'll pass on the word that it's going to be April 29th 2007 lol! Actually, is it wise to joke about that?!

Chrispynoodle

Chrispynoodle Report 19 Apr 2006 12:18

Look, team, patience is needed here. I think it will crash anyway...or we could spread the word that it has crashed so only the chosen few try to look on it. If we send everyone up mountain and down dale, there'll be more room for the rest of us.

Joanne Report 19 Apr 2006 12:15

I hope I'm not getting all excited about this for nothing! As it happens though, my days off for that week are already decided, and I'm off on the 27th but not the rest of the weekend! How unfair! But when I get home from work at 2:30am at the weekend I'll need to do something to help me to sleep - let's just hope we're not all up all night trying to hunt for those missing pieces! In fact, the reason I'm on here today was to see if they'd got round to putting it on yet but never mind! Maybe I'll write a list of who to try and find lol! Jo

TinaTheCheshirePussyCat Report 19 Apr 2006 11:54

Hey Merry, hubby has Winterbottom's in his tree. Do you think they were spies? Re nuclear/1841 warning, there is a government Secret Bunker near Nantwich - shall I nip over and see if I can get any clues? Mind you, it's not very secret any more as there are copious road signs saying 'This way to the Secret Bunker'. Never fails to crease me up! If Glen can manage to build a beacon on the top of Mow Cop (only decent hill in South Cheshire), I could volunteer to drive over and light it when the balloon goes up. Am I mixing my metaphors a bit here? Am I totally mad? Back to the gin bottle I think. Tina
