Dear Madeline Many thanks for such a generous offer, it will surely take you a while to work your way through all of your rquests , but if you can Frederick Marchant ,Croydon. my grandfather enlisted when he was underage so probably lied about D O B etc, but i know he was discharged through injury. Francis George Bently, there is one F G Bently middlesex regt but listed in Paddington , do you think this is yours ?if you think it is i will give you the rest of the info, I dont seem to be very succesful with this do i? When i bought these 2 National Rolls i was under the impression that everone from the London area that took part in the war was listed here but i found out later that it was only for certain parts of London and even then its not complete but i may be able to find someones ancesters on here Madeline

Madeline I have few ( SORRY ) Robert William Daymanb 1898.. might be down as William, South London. Arthur Oswald Perry - east End Any Coulbys East End. Frederick Ingram b 1889 George Leonard Ingram b 1891 Sidney Charles Herbert b 1892 All South London Issac Augustus Jeffries b 1868 George Jeffries b 1875 Robert James Jeffries b 1880 South London Really appricate your offer of help.. sorry there are so many XXXXXXXXX

Thanks for your kind offer Madeline. I would be grateful if you could look up my Grandad, Harry G TIVERS, or any of his brothers/cousins named TIVERS, all from Wandsworth, Putney or Fulham areas. Also my Grandmother's brothers, also from the same area with the surname CARSONS. The names are not common, and everyone with these names are related to me! Thank you very much Sue

S Herbert, i dont know if this is the right one, S Herbert, Corporal. RASC (MT) Volenteered Oct 1914, he was drafted shortly after to the western front,there he rendered valuable services as a motor transport driver serving at ypres,the somme and other sites.He returned home and was demobilised in April 1919 holding the 1914 star & the general service medal 10 Arthur Road Brixton

F G Bentley, Private. Middlesex Regt Volenteered Aug 1914. the following May proceeded to the western front where he was frequently in action till the end of the war. He served at Neuvi ?, Chapelli Hill 60,Festubert,Loos,Redubt & Cambrai. He was wounded at Loos and was demobilised in March 1919 &holds the 1914 star general service & victory Medals 56 Hampden St Paddington
