Macbev Report 2 Jan 2006 13:51

Thanks for your concern, Tina. I got a bit confused on that roundabout and wandered off onto the wrong thread (sorry, Merry). Have decided to turn myself into the Panda car and anticipate being deported as an Illegal. It was a wonderful, memorable party and I will treasure the photos of all those tinsel bedecked bums for years to come. Thanks for the hospitality, Olde Crone, and for the pink cardi, Beryl. Maybe your mum will get to Perth next year, Bev. Au revoir, Beverley

Thanks so much for the lift Merry. its was very kind of you. Give my love to soggy Bornemouth and to the rest of your tribe ~ tell them Jess says you are a star! Oh, and can you give a friend of Mine a Hug, if you happen to see him at the end of the pier. His name is Ian, and he'll no doubt be fishing!' he lives at Parkstone!

That's ASSERTIVE, in capitals........... Excellent idea about the poop-scooping........... I have therefore wrapped the shovel in New Year paper and posted it anonymously to the female in question.........I'm sure she will know what to do with it............................................ Well, here we are at your abode....................... I see Alan must have been delivered home yesterday after I filled in the discharge papers and forged your signature on them....... hope you didn't mind too much, but thought you might have missed him and his socks (one pair, two weeks) after all??! I'll push off back to soggy Bournemouth now......... Shouldn't take me long......there aren't many commodes on the road.......... See you at Crone's wedding............................(oh, LOL maybe SHE is the bride!!) BYE.......!! BYE!!.........................BYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEE! BYYYYEEEE Bobbin too....................... Well, Lara, Billy and myself made it back to the land down under...............................................eventually! Unfortunately we kind of got a severe case of chairlag and fell asleep. Said chair-sometimes having a mind of it's own, decided to take the scenic route. When we finally arrived in Yarrawonga Lara was wearing a red berét and garter?? Ooh lala! We had some stollen and lederhosen shoved into a corner of the chair, some poor bugger must have frozen legs. Billy was lying on a furry hat type thingy and had an empty vodka bottle between his paws and I was wearing a pair of wooden clogs. Did we just do the whirlwind European tour? You know, 13 countries in 48 hours? Pity we missed it. Anyway, the tour thingy has left us tired and worn out, so we are now sitting in Laras lap pool with a supply of baileys and Brown Bro's crouchen riesling. Heaven! C- was erm....interesting to say the least Great company, most interesting buffet I have ever encountered, and a wonderful assortment of gifts. Exactly was C should be like. Pity the hostess was missing for the duration. Um, they weren't our coats Olde Crone was buried under were they? Hope everyone has a great New Years, Cheers Rebs x

Colour scheme just evolved from the bogof offer in Asda on Andrex, only those two colours left..... Been an interesting christmas, one like i have never known anyway...met people from far and wide, from all walks of life who all have one thing in common ~ bums small enough to wear a tinsel G string with style!...and that takes some doing! Its been good, its been fun, but when we all arive home tommorow maybe we'll all realise it was maybe a dream and that one day our dreams may come true and we will have a wild and wacky meeting somewhere and eat daft food! So, whilst we continue our journey Merry , on into the night, home ward to those we love (and who dont really appreciate us!) that we certainly do have friends here upon whom we can rely in good times and in bad, Thanks for that especially Merry, over the last few weeks especially Your support has been unfailing, unconditional and at times all that has kept me going. Many MANY thanks xx very best wishes to all my fellow travellers for a very happy and prosperous 2006, Bottoms up - even tinsel clad ones! Jess & Bobbin xx

Pale blue and apricot???? Sounds wonderful!! I can make a bride and groom for the top of the cake and dress them in the colour scheme......very tasteful I think, don't you........??? Maybe we could do the icing to match? Scout hut?? Maybe take some apricot air freshener? Should do the trick........What date is the event supposed to be?? Glad to hear the M-I-L flowers did the trick....... (though there are well over 2 hours to go, so don't think you can uncross your fingers yet, Jess)......If I start skiing again at 12.01am 2006, you should be home for breakfast.......I'm sure Alan will have a nice ..........basket of washing .....to welcome you back....... Merry

Oh Tina do be careful....I don't want you to fall of that ladder....grab hold of that rope and those sailors will drag you up on deck. I,m right behind you.....hope you didn't eat any beans today! Here we are sitting cosily in our cabin....hot buttered toast and a very welcome pot of tea...gosh Tina isn't it good to have some normal grub? We are making good time ....I can almost smell the change in the air...we must be nearing the Mersey. It is nearly time for us to part and I would like to thank you Tina for you have been a very interesting and friendly travelling companion. As have all the other people who joined the journey. I do hope me meet again. Happy New Year Beryl x

Cor! That wedding sounds like a reason to make a return trip..Nothing like a scrap at a wedding! Maybe you could offer the services of Merry and I to decorate the hall...We are good at totally tasteless and OTT!! i suggest Pale blue and apricot colour scheme, big bows and things with Andrex....... Bobbin is safely snuggled up n her roof box~ actually quite looking forward to getting home now~ interflora (ok Morrisons!) has managed to make the M-in-l from hell feel loved so hopefully we'll not run into trauma there tonight. Had a text from my beloved earlier ''come home soon, I've missed you...' Must mean he's run out of clean socks. second thoughts i left 4 clean pairs and at the rate he usually changes them , he must be able to go at least another 10 days!

Come on Beryl, paddle harder or we shall miss the boat! Bye bye everyone, thanks for a really amazing christmas. Olde Crone, thanks for the use of your garden and shed. Sorry we did not realise we had buried you under the coats. Merry, Jess, Bobbin, safe journey home. Grumpy, glad you made it OK. Does anyone know if Macbev managed to finally get a lift back to Oz - in fact, have any of the Oz contingent made it home? Rebs - leave Santa alone now dear, he needs to rest ready for next year. Best wishes and Happy New Year everyone. Tina

Are the potential bride and groom exchanging blows as well, or just their families?? Give it time, you may be lucky - it may be cancelled.................. Merry

An Olde Crone

An Olde Crone Report 31 Dec 2005 19:39

Glad you are all (well, most of you) reunited with your loving families and thankyou all for making my C-mas less miserable than usual! Now, if I can only count on your support for a family wedding I have to attend in June.....his side hate her side, blows have already been exchanged...there are several batty Aunties who will no doubt attend, wearing regulation slippers.....the Reception is in the Scout Hut and we are all expected to contribute in kind to the Running Buffet...
