The Bag Report 16 Oct 2005 21:56

OK, so, if irene diccox was your grans mother, where abouts in the counrty was your gran Brought up, You mother must surely know where HER mother lived as a child

Merry Report 16 Oct 2005 21:57

You said you have found out quite a lot over the last couple of days....have you now got these two ladies birth registrations, so we can confirm how old they would have been at any given possible date of death? Merry

Karl

Karl Report 16 Oct 2005 21:57

My nan was born in barmouth, county of merioneth, wales but she then went onto to live in swindon, wiltshire for most of her childhood before she moved to devon around 25 years ago.

No deaths for Irene Diccox in 1955 or 1956 either. Are you sure you have the correct spelling for Diccox, as I didn't see one entry for that name. Kath. x

Karl

Karl Report 16 Oct 2005 22:01

yes i have the correct spelling for DICCOX. I have found quite alot over the weekend but that is other people i have no information on these 2 people apart from what i have given you.

Karl

Karl Report 16 Oct 2005 22:02

I know i have the correct spelling for DICCOX as i have JOYCE DICCOX's birth certificate which is her daughter and i've just checked it again.

Merry

Merry Report 16 Oct 2005 22:02

Kathleen......Karl has all the pages saved and is currently going through checking again for anything he might have missed. Merry

The Bag

The Bag Report 16 Oct 2005 22:03

so chances are Irene whatever died in Wiltshire, i would have thought * what year was joyce born please?

Karl

Karl Report 16 Oct 2005 22:06

JOYCE DICCOX born 1942 in barmouth, county of merioneth. and her other daughter VALERIE DICCOX born in the same place in 1943

The Bag

The Bag Report 16 Oct 2005 22:07

Did Joyce and Valerie live in wiltshire with their mother at any time?

Karl

Karl Report 16 Oct 2005 22:09

Yes both lived in wiltshire with their mother for a time i believe.

Karl

Karl Report 16 Oct 2005 22:10

they would have lived in wiltshire between 1943 and 1956 as IRENE DICCOX would no longer have been alive after 1956.

The Bag

The Bag Report 16 Oct 2005 22:10

So i would focus my search for her mothers death there, wouldn't you?

Merry

Merry Report 16 Oct 2005 22:14

I take it your gran is still alive? Does she remember the address where she lived with her mum until she was aged 12/13?? If yes, you could try the electoral rolls for the address to see when Irene ''vanishes'' from the roll, which I would imagine is when she died........... assuming she DID die................... Merry

Karl

Karl Report 16 Oct 2005 22:15

My nan doesn't seem to know much about her mum but she definately died in her 30's and when my nan was 12/13.

The Bag

The Bag Report 16 Oct 2005 22:16

So if we find a death in that name AFTER 1956 she deffo wont be yours?

Karl

Karl Report 16 Oct 2005 22:16

Where would you find electoral roll records? just in case i do manage to get an address.
