Debra you were kind enough to do an earlier look up for me. I wonder if you could find GEORGE ALEXANDER, Alexander being a surname living in Bethnal Green area. Sorry know nothing about him other than he married 1852 so hoping there are no other Alexanders around. Many thanks Irene

Hi Debs Thanks for looking. Typically, my rellies are hiding. The one you found is in Skipton, Yorks in 1861. Mine is with her aunt in Muggleswick, Durham in 1861. I'll just need to keep looking Thanks for your efforts Beth :)

Hello Debra, Looking for Mary Silby born 1803 in Wisbech Cambs, she had a daughter Mary born c1836. Never been able to find her husband on later census`s. Hoping 1851 I will be lucky and find them living together. Many thanks. Pat.

Gordon Report 7 Oct 2005 19:20

Hello Debra, You just might help me break down the biggest brick wall in my wife's family. We are trying to find a Halliburton Armstrong who would be aged in the region of 9 years in (probably) Cumberland or (possibly) Northumberland. Thank you very much, Gordon.

Val Report 7 Oct 2005 19:39

Thanks Debra, my John Cox would be about 40yr in 1851 Mary would be 35yrs and Joseph Cooper would be 37yr and Frances would be 28yrs

Gordon Report 7 Oct 2005 19:48

Debra, Halliburton was probably born about 1841, and censuses consistently say in or near Hexham, Northumberland. His father was William, a 'husbandman' but have no info on mother. The family eventually moved to Cumberland (possibly Brampton), and Halliburton is to be found in the 1861 census as a servant ('carter') to a farmer called Brown in Nether Hesket in Cumberland. The well runs dry after that info. Thank you for your assistance, Gordon
