Jess, re: Fanny Goodwin Goodness! You answered my post pages ago! LOL You ask when Fanny married Samuel Smith. The answer is, I don't know as I can't find a marriage for them yet. He is single on the 1861 census and the first child that I know of was born in Feb. 1865, so I am guessing between those dates (if they did actaully marry of course!) Hi Jess: You have already helped me with my family and I really appreciate it. Just last Friday my sister and cousins got together to discuss our family tree and I now have 4 pictures of a Green family. I am hoping you can shed some light on them. I believe they are related to my Great Grandmother Augusta Green somehow. They are Peggy and Polly Green, Polly married a Joe Cossy? in 1926 and Peggy married a George ? in 1927. On the back of a couple of the pictures it shows P. Liddle photographer in Chester le Street, so presuming they are from around that area. Many thanks for anything you can find. Regards Shiela

Jess, Thanks for trying the Campbell's, it was a long shot, Richard is prob dead by then, I found him on the 1851census but didn't come across his brothers living in Brighton. Now the Pages, Elizabeth remarried in Jan 1871 and I have seen the 1871census with her on at her mothers Elizabeth Cooper in Brighton with 2 children Harriet Page born 1857 & Nathaniel Page born c1862, persumably her 1st husband John William Page was dead by then. Although these children were born in Brighton, I wonder if they lived somewhere else at that time. Can you search on Harriet Page [I think her middle name was Jane] born 1857 Brighton, mind you Elizabeth was at her mothers on the 1871 & 81 census, and carried on living in the house after her mothers death according to the 91census. Maybe if nothing shows on Harriet, you could try Elizabeth Cooper born c1810 Shropshire & Thomas Cooper born c1805 Bedfordshire, they may be living at Cavendish St, Brighton. Many thanks Josie

No Lucy and Albert have two boys. She did also have base born daughter but she was called Kate Wills living with grandparents and then working in Bath age 13. Anna

Fanny doesn't appear with Lucy and Albert later? that is my hunch, have set Free bmd to hunt for bush marriages but may take a while - it a bit chuggy today

Haven't found any marriages for the Bush sisters. Martha Wills m. Samuel Chandler in Wandsworth Eliza Wills m. Richard Higgins not sure where Elizabeth Wills m. Thomas Kelson possibly Bath, Somerset Lucy Wills m. Albert Beer in Bath Also Henry Wills married in Wandsworth (brother of Emma's). So some did wander about a bit. Pulling your hair out yet?! Anna

Desperately looking for John Alexander (very uncommon name!) born c1825 in Edinburgh according to 61,71,81,91 and 01 census. Married Emma Creasy born c 1834 from Teignmouth. Can't find a wedding, (first child born in 1861) or John's birth. Have been looking since last September without success. Margaret

Have a go at this one Jess. 1871 census shows: Living Baltonsborough, Somerset Francis Bush Head 34 Baltonsborough, Somerset Butcher Emma BUSH Nee WILLS Wife 33 Glastonbury Somerset  Herbert BUSH Son 5 1/2 Baltonsborough, Somerset Lucy WILLS Sister-in-law Un 19 Glastonbury Step Maker Fanny Connell Niece 1yr 8 mo Baltonsborough, Somerset Can't find anything about the niece Fanny - no birth, parents, not showing on 1881 census, etc. Francis had 3 sisters Mary Ann(e) b. C1838, Jane b. C1840 & Eliza (maybe Ellen) Charlotte b. C1849. Emma had 4 sisters Mary Ann b. C1835, Jane & Martha b. C1840, Eliza b. C1850 & Lucy b. C1852. Cheers Anna

On their marriage certificate, her father John Matthews, Park Keeper. On her son George William Webb's birth certificate it says for mother Mary Webb formerly Loundon (I think, can't deciphre very well). She was born 1886/87. < born when and married G/F 1891? Was 25 when married my ggf, already had 2 children George b 1888 < how old was his Mum .......born 1886? and John Webb. On 1891 census she is down as 24. < born 1867, with the two boys? Would have been about 20 when George Webb was born. -------------------------------------------------------------- Are some of those errors? Hello Jess, I am sitting her puzzling over various certificates and do not know which way to go. I emailed Ancestry to find out how to get credits or join but have had no reply. Mary Ann Webb married my ggf in 1891. On their marriage certificate, her father John Matthews, Park Keeper. Hi Jess, Don't worry about 'not doing too well', I am cursed with Royal Artillery, at the moment I have five different families with generations of them and have found them all over the world, so Edward could be ANYWHERE !
