Looby loo,was an occupation given for john in 1891? Can you spell out their ages given in census at each stage. Ancestry do this birthdate guessing thing that doesnt help. They work back from census ages given and assume birthyears. Good chance that the parents ages are rounded off.

I'm not sure if you have any credits left ( you seem to have helped alot of people) but if you do could i ask for one more. Death of Doris Owens..Feb 1989 in the Avon/Bath area. She would have been in her 80's as she was born about 1907. Many Thanks Esta

Looby loo, So help me god, this lot are going to be the death of me. Ive checked 1881-OK,that makes sense, only match for names. However,Ive gone into 1837,and if they arent in here, they arent anywhere with regards births in england. No matches for either John COYNE or KIND,1874,5 6 in Derby area. Only these; john Edward C.kind Stamford 7a 317 AMJ 1875 john Willie kind Leicester 7a 230 AMJ 1874 John Coyne Wolverhampton 6b 610 AMJ 1873 :-(( furthermore, there is no sign of frank either in 1873 or 1874.

Of course it could well be the third one in that list, the parents came from west bromwich and walsall, wolverhampton isnt far away, and whats a year ,when youve got that many kids.they might have got mixed up,cos the later ones were born in derby. Now i understand about the voice, west bromwich,is very strong accent and coyuld easily be misunderstood!!!

Hi again Alter Ego I know how you feel, sorry. But they've been such a pain in my ???? too. Can't seem to find any more info on them. The John Coyne mentioned below, those numbers and letters are they the GRO numbers only never seen any like those before? John Coyne Wolverhampton 6b 610 AMJ 1873 If they are am thinking of taking a chance and order the Birth cert using father's name as extra reference. What do you think? Regards San

The Ego

The Ego Report 8 Aug 2005 21:03

Loopy>>>>>>>>>>>> Yes thats the code needed for the cert. AMJ is the June quarter of 1873 JFM=march quarter AMJ=june quarter JAS= september quarter OND=december quarter The GRO site needs those details,a debit/credit card. £7 per cert 4 days for delivery at the moment. All the info seems consistent, just cant fathom how frank has disappeared. If that John is not the right one he must be registered under a different name to kind or coyne.

Fran............registration didnt take place till 1837. Before that you need parish records.

Elaine

Elaine Report 9 Aug 2005 13:22

Please could you look up birth of Isaac Wildish born Sittingbourne. Kent 1854.

The Ego

The Ego Report 9 Aug 2005 13:49

Elaine, most of the pages for that surname are very poor quality. however, there are 3 williams by that surname, when I looked at 1853 and 1854. are you sure he was born with the name Isaac? that might have been adopted if joining a church,or personal change in the family. have you any baptism record? the williams I have were born Maidstone,Milton and Maldon.

hi alter could you please look up (in your magic 1837 book!) the parents and/or siblings of: thomas robson, born 1834. north shields, northumberland. thank you ;)

The Ego

The Ego Report 9 Aug 2005 22:57

Pamela, That has got to be a wind up! My magic 1837 book starts in 1837 and youre asking me about the parents of someone born 1834 . Apart from that 1837 is a registration of official bmds, and has the census for 1861. Unless you have more precise info,I'd be bankrupt.Just one view alone out of many is costing me 30p a time for each census household.
