Hi Jess, As I am unable to find your thread for Tuesday, I will tender my thanks to you from here until it reappears. I am grateful to you for taking the time to look up some info on the Weston & Collins families for me. You have also given me the name of BINDLEY (linked to the Collins family) which is completely new to me, so I'm grateful for that also. Thanks again, Jimmy

Re Thomas Thanks for the look up for me on the 1861 census. It does confirm that Margaret was the mother of both the children. I will need to keep searching for a birth certificate for Evan. Thanks

From : Graham Subject : Look up 1861 Census Can I take you up on your offer for an 1861 census look up. I am trying to trace John Thomas dob c 1828. On the 1871 census he was living in Bersham (near Wrexham) Wales occupation miner. He is married to Margaret (born c1825/26)and has a son Peter (born Bersham) who is 10 in 1871 so should have been born 1860/61 and I am hoping that he is on the 1861 census. I am having trouble locating the birth certificate for John's other son, Evan, (who is my Great Grandfather) who was born c 1862/63. I have a birth certificate for an Evan Thomas but the mothers name is Mary Ann and not Margaret. I was wondering, if the census entry can be found, what the entry gives and what John's wife's name is in 1861? Hope you can make sense of this.
