Joyce,you didn't do anything wrong! The cert that you applied for was for a girl of the same name born at about the same time, just to different parents! Unfortunate, but just the way it is sometimes! hi jess forgave me if this sounds stupid but i put in the info what seems to be right except for the parents,this what i put in. harriet jane tyler march 1887 pancras vol 1b page 134 so were did i go wrong thank you for the help you gave if its not my family the cert might help someone else ,thats from the thread i found .regards joyce

I would have said Francis registered that birth ,Yes. That little girl had a mother called Francis ,no probably not yours.

hi jess hope you dont mind but i couldnt find you on my thread,last week you gave info about my grandmother helen tyler having ababy girl ,namely harriet jane tyler ,i got the cert back today but not with her name on it reads as follows. 4dec 1886 harriet jane-girl father james henry tyler mother frances tyler formaly bates fathers occ general laborer address 16 caoun terrace pancras kentish town middlesex what do you make of it,do you think her parents registerd as it is signed frances tyler mother thank you for helping but just wondering now is this helens little girl.joyce from holland

Morning Jess, Could you lookup Charles and Caroline Grace please. on the 1871 census he is 56 Greengrocer b. Ilford. Wife Caroline Grace 54 B. Hackney Son John 19 b. Shoreditch greengrocer Son James 14 no b. and grandson Henry Tappin 11. With the exception of Henry, I can't find them anywhere else ( not on LDS 1881). If you could find the death of Henry George Tappin (not same one) b. Aug. 1839 believed to be btw. 1857 and 1874 that would be great. Many thanks Michaela Any info. appreciated.

Sarah Evans was married twice First one to a ??? Wright they had 3 kids Emelia (Emily) b;1860 Audlem Samuel Wright b:1863 Whitchurch Shropshire Ann Wright b:1865 Newhall (yuck lol) cheshire then she was Widowed then married James Evans in 1868 they then had Mary b;1869 Newhall Alice b:1869Newhall I think these are twins? and had a further 7 kids. OMG what a handful lol Now I bet your even more confused lol lesley :~)

Lesley. again that birthpalce doesn't get a mention in 1861. any sarah that is still at home doesn't have a father called John and anyone that is a servant/visitor we will not be able to indentify. Hi Jess Me Again lol Another look up please 1861/1871 for yet another Evans lol John Evans b:?? His daughter Sarah b:1843 Newhall Cheshire not sure when John was born but I have found one on 1881 says b: 1812 Milton Cheshire living Weaverham Cum Milton cheshire. I know he was a Shoemaker. On 1881 he was a Widow. Can you help me? Many thanxs yet again lesley :~)

I see what you mean Jess, but unfortunately I don't Know if he had any siblings. I've had a look on the IGI and I can't find him but now I come to think of it, last time I looked, I didn't have a birth date for him, so I think I'll go back and have another try. Thank you, Helen

Helen. have you managed to assertain if Aaron had any siblings? Just trying to get an idea where he might have been born and if a bunch of male Elworthy's may show born say 10years either side of his birth may be his siblings if born in the same place (or county)
