Jess- poor Hannah she must have been exhausted by then! It was Nikki who very kindly found the 1851 census entry for me and I'm wondering if I've been a bit dim, the entry reads Eastover, Bridgewater 1851 Elworthy Aaron 42 Butcher, Bridgewater, Somerset Hannah 50 Bridgewater, Somerset Robert 13 Scholar, Bridgewater, Somerset Now I assumed that because in a family bible it states that Robert, the son, was born in Bristol, that Bridgewater was only where they were living and not where they were born, but I'm probably wrong, aren't I? Oopps! From the same source (the Bible) I'm also assuming that Aaron was already dead by 1861, but again I have no proof and I haven't as yet found his death on FreeBMD. Helen

Michaela Report 8 Jun 2005 08:14

Morning Jess, Could you lookup Charles and Caroline Grace please. on the 1871 census he is 56 Greengrocer b. Ilford. Wife Caroline Grace 54 B. Hackney Son John 19 b. Shoreditch greengrocer Son James 14 no b. and grandson Henry Tappin 11. With the exception of Henry, I can't find them anywhere else ( not on LDS 1881). If you could find the death of Henry George Tappin (not same one) b. Aug. 1839 believed to be btw. 1857 and 1874 that would be great. Many thanks Michaela Any info. appreciated.
