How do I find birth ,death and marriage

Hi I am at a loss to find birth death and marriage for Edward Grant and Hester or Esther Lock(e). Edwards son William's death cert. states he was born Bristol and two brothers and one sister born Abingdon around 1808 to 1818 but nowhere can I find b,d,m, of either parent. Some ideas pleaaaaaaaaase.....Looking forward to hearing some news Merri Geddes |
