Thank you again. Yes you are on the right track. You had got the right family on the 1891 cenus. You have the mother, Daughter and elsdest son. But no father but have had it confirmed that he was there at the time by someone else. James however was born in June so was not the census. Because he was born in North Wingfield and registered in Chesterfield I thought that is where the marriage would be, but have now gone further a field in neighbourghing counties. I have found a John William Clark marrying in June 85 but it doesn't state as to whom. This was found on Ancestry*com When I looked for others on the same list only 3 people were mentioned so am begining to think that Louisa Dye is the missing person. Thanks For your help.

Hi Jess. Iv'e got a bit of a dark mystery to one of my lines. Would you do me the honours and check William Lawrey/Lawry on the 1901 Census. He was born in Plymouth and comes up as being 19 in 1901, so would have been born 1881/1882. He is a fisherman. Can you get me the address and any other persons in the household. Thanks in advance. Hope you are well. Jan

Thank you Jess I think you have found the right family of Dye's as looking on a map Hammerwich is not far from Brownhills. I do believe that the Louisa Dye you found as a servant is the same one I found on the 1881 census. She lived near North Wingfield in Derbyshire by then. I think this is where she met and Married John William Clark(e). Their Sons William 1887 and James 1891 were born here. I think that possibly the whole family of Dye's may have moved to this district. There may also be a daughter Lily born sometime between William and James. I have James' Birth Cert but am unable to trace any record what so ever of Louisa and Johns marriage. Thank you again for your time and effort it is much appreciated. Joy

Unknown Report 25 May 2005 15:11

Hi Jess, is there anywhere which gives the age at death of someone. On ancestry Joshua Kippax died september quarter 1851 Burnley Lancashire, vol 21, page 150. Doesn't give an age. I have looked on 1837 and that doesn't give an age. I have a Joshua Kippax and he would have been born in 1700's as he has a son James born abt 1819. Any ideas. I don't want to send for the cert only to find it has no chance of being him. Hope you can help Gloria x

Please could you look up information on the 1871 census with regards to my Grand Grandmother Louisa Dye. She was born around 1864 in Brownhills Staffordshire. (This information taken fron 1891 and 1901 cenus) Also am trying to locate her marriage to My Great Grandfather John William Clark (Clarke on census mentioned). He was born 1865 in Kiverton Park Yorkshire. However my Great Uncle William Clark and Grandfather James Clark was born 1887 and 1891 in North Wingfield Derbsyhire. Have been unable to locate as to where the marriage took place in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and just over the Border in Nottinghamshire. Any information on either Great Grandparents would be welcome. Thank You
