Could you please look up a death for me please Jess? Eleanor edwards she died between 1838 (last childs birth yr) and 1861 her husband John Fox is on 1861 census Smethcott shropshire as Widower. All her children born smethcott apart from last 1 it says Longnor shropshire. Many thanxs lesley :~)

Sorry if this is not how I should ask the questions. New to this threads thing. SAMUEL JOHNSTONE I have him 10 days old in the 1851 census Caerlaverock, Dumfries. Would like to know his address in the 1901 census. I know him to be in Oadby, Leicester with his wife Mary. I would also like to know if you can tell if he is the same Samuel Johnstone that died in the 3/4 of 1923 in Leicester that I found on www1837. He was a gardener that moved about a bit but might still be in Oadby when he died. I live in Scotland where the www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk site has given me all I need for all but this one person that 'escaped' south! Thanks Jess, I just wish they could have been a bit more imaginative with names. Perhaps thats why we find them with a middle name after a few years of life, they added it to be a bit different. Didn't think of us poor souls trying to sort it all out, did they! Thanks again Gloria

Lesley- appologies for missing you. Entering criteria 1850+/- 10 years, so encompassing 1840-1860, there are 80 returns for that name. Narrow it down a bit? Did her husband remain in the same place.if so where?
