Hi Jess Thanks so much - your a treasure. When you say 2, it looks as though they are in the same family, just Daughter and Grandaughter. Is that how you understand it please? Or is the grandaughter living in Worksop? Chrissie p.s. Sorry to be a pain but does it say what the father does for a living please?

Hi Jess I'm not sure how difficult this request would be, but here goes (if it's a problem I will understand). Is it possible to look on 1891 to see how many Martha Spencers are listed, born and living in Nottinghamshire, aged between 10 and 14 please? Thanks - Chrissie

Thanks Jess THat looks very much could be the daughter. Have had other instances of different place of birth on other rellies for 1891 & 1901 census. Yes it looks like Esther ,the mum ,remarried in 1893. The male names on the same page ref are John Westrope Simmons & Frederick Hewitt. Was talking to my sis in Canada yesterday & she said Hewitt seemed familiar. Thanks
