Somebody asked for an 'expert' on ALVERSTOKE. I am no expert but I do have the Hampshire burial index which included Alverstoke (from 1400-1837). I also have a list of baptisms in alverstoke for the years January 1831 to January 1832 inclusive. I also lived in Alverstoke for a while so have a bit of local knowledge. MAIL me please Ann Glos

Know West Sussex very well(too many years as a van driver). New Poor Law (workhouses and stuff) Bit about agricultural history. I can read gravestones that are almost smooth,how handy is that!

I am not an expert as everyone esle has said, but !!!!! Do have a good knowledge of my home town and surrounding part,s of GLASGOW... CAN GO INTO THE MITCHELL LIBRARY QUITE EASILY.... LIVE VERY NEAR OLD MONKLAND CEMETRY, HOLYTOWN CEMETRY, NEW MAINS CEMETRY.... HAVE A LARGE AMOUNT OF MAP,S FOR SCOTLAND. SO IF ANYONE NEED,S ANYTHING FROM UP HERE WILL ONLY BE TO GLAD TO TRY AND HELP........ CAN BE CONTACTED EITHER WAY BUT IF YOU NEED A LOOK UP BEST TO EMAIL ME RATHER THAN PUT PERSONAL DETAILS ON BOARDS OK ??

This is a brilliant idea. I will try to help wherever I can. I'm born & bred in Redcar, Cleveland (England not Ohio), so have a fair bit of knowledge about Cleveland/Teesside/North Yorkshire. Don't get to any search centres, but would try to get photos of gravestones etc from the area.

PLEASE CAN ANY ONE HELP, IS THERE A SEARCH SIMILAR TO OURS FOR FINDING MARRIAGES IN SPAIN, I HAVE TRIED TO FIND OUT IF BIRTH MOTHER HAS MARRIED ABROAD. SHE DID NOT MARRY IN THIS COUNTRY UP TO PRESENT DAY. SHE MOVED TO MALLORCA APPROX 1970. JULIA

I will shortly be getting the apprenticeship bindings for Watermen/Lightermen in London from the 17th-20th century. Update - have got the cd now - anyone with Lightermen/watermen in London area from 1692-1949 please give name, dob, area.

No expert but have access to N/E Scotland records Census ,OPR ,IGI ,MI's etc . Won't trudge round grave yards though as it is too cold !!! Mail me if I can help Kathy
