Quite a lot of the burial records for several Manchester cemeteries are held at Blackley cemetery. they will answer e mail requests from researchers as well as phone requests. They will even allow you to go to the offices there and search through their record books yourself. Their web pag is: www.manchester.gov.uk/opservices/bereave/cemetery/blackley.htm Mary

There's a list with links to churchyard monumental inscriptions in Kent (and a couple in Sussex) between 1890s and 1923. This includes some South London cemeteries which presumably would have been part of Kent at the time. http://www.kentarchaeology.org.uk/Research/Libr/MIs/MIslist.htm

Lorraine Report 25 Apr 2004 01:29

I should clarify that the Kent inscriptions were collected between 1890s-1923 - the inscriptions themselves were a fair bit older in many cases.
