I've been looking for my Richard and Charlotte WHITFORD for so long. They were in Liverpool at the birth of their son in 1814 when Richard was recorded as a mariner, but that's all I really know, apart from a vague possible link of a marriage in the Isle of Man. It has occured to me that Richard could have been a pirate or a privateer. Now is I am casting a net looking for anyone with ideas or expertise in this area. Any thoughts anyone? Jan in Oz |
