Sinead

Sinead Report 19 Oct 2003 18:29

Hi Alison, I am unique!! With an irish forename and a scottish surname you would think other wise-but it's nice to know that I am the only Sinead Walkinshaw in the UK!!! Thanks for the site- it provides a bit of light relief from all the dates, parishes, parentage and brick walls!! Sinead

Tracey

Tracey Report 19 Oct 2003 18:45

Try this, how many Tracey Smiths are there? I don't consider myself common though!

Shirley

Shirley Report 19 Oct 2003 18:50

Great site! Five of me! I always thought I was unique until I started tracing my family tree! But how many of them were sadly named after Shirley Temple!!

Ann

Ann Report 19 Oct 2003 18:51

I am unique, the only one. I tried my maiden name and there was 140. Ann Cooke surprised there were so few.

Oz Mozz

Oz Mozz Report 19 Oct 2003 22:03

Hi Tracey; You know what a wombat is? (One of those odd looking things that dig horrendous burrows and, contrary to popular belief are not cuddly and do not roam our Aussie backyards!!) You know what a wing nut is? (One of those nuts with the sticky out bits on each side that make it soooooo much easier to loosen or tighten.) You ever seen one on a wombat or ever seen a wombat on a wingnut? It is like a wigwom for a horses bridle as my Nan used to say. A thingamegig or a whatsiehooover, doodad. It is a great phrase. Hope you are now enlightened! lol Sonja

Elton Were you named after Elton Hayes, the singer? I think he sang the Robin Hood theme tune - the one starring Richard Green. Really showing age now! :(( Sue

Unknown

Unknown Report 19 Oct 2003 23:39

Well, hubby and I are in no way unique. Of Osbornes there are 25,143, Colemans 25,706, Dianas 43,016, and as for Johns 1,264,441. However with my Christian name and surnames combined things improve for me, 35 Diana Osbornes and 23 Diana Colemans, but John is still pretty common, 693!!

Kathleen

Kathleen Report 20 Oct 2003 00:35

There are 17 of me in my married name and 24 in my maiden name. Surprising, I thought there would be a lot more. Even more surprising, tried using both my first names and both times, with married and maiden names - I don't exist! Feel really weird now, knowing I am sitting here but I am just a fig-leaf of my magination. Kathleen Patricia (Gannon)

Elizabeth A Report 20 Oct 2003 01:23

N Report 20 Oct 2003 09:28

3 of my maiden surname. So that is Mum , Dad and who else ? So now I'm on a quest to find out who the other one was. About time I did my tree on my Dad's side, but he is Cypriot so its a lot harder.

Steph

Steph Report 20 Oct 2003 09:32

I was the only Stephanie Donati!!! (maiden name) , but there are three other Stephanie Bland's (married name). Guess I should have kept the maiden name to stand out in a crowd!
