Hi Bernard, Had a look for your relatives to see if they may have been born slightly earlier than you say, but nothing looks likely I'm afraid. I can only do 1891 lookups - have you checked on the 1901 census?

Hi Lucy, Charles Constant was born 1874, Plumstead and Caroline Constant (nee Morland) born 1877 also in Plumstead. It may be possible that they were not married at that time. I have more info on their families if you need it. Laurie

Hi Laurie, RG12/527, Folio 62, page 4 Forest Hill, Charlton, London 22 Park Street Francis Flauding, head, mar, 42, bricklayer, Tunbridge Annie Flauding, wife, mar, 43, Waltham East Charles C Constant, stepson, sing, 17, laborer telegraph wk, Plumstead Ethel Constant, stepdaur, 6, scholar, Woolwich Thomas Standing, bro, sing, 28, bricklayer, Hastings George Reader, boarder, sing, 32, labourer, Maidstone As you can see they've transcribed either Francis or Thomas incorrectly - I assume you'll know which is correct. Can't find Caroline Morland, however, there is Caroline Morley born Plumstead father Joseph - could this be her?

I don't know if I dare ask you as you seem to have spent ages looking on the 1891 census - but please, if you have time, and you feel like it, could you look up the following family for me? Thomas Trigg, Margaret (his wife), Ida (his daughter). They might have been living in Newport Monmouthshire in 1891. No problems if you cannot find them - just thought I would ask before you collapse. Jacqui

Hi Lucy! Can you look up the name Lee, George Henry in Birmingham or Lee, Anna Louise in Birmingham as well? I'd very much appreciate it! Thanks! Amanda

Amanda

Amanda Report 24 Sep 2003 14:58

Anna Louisa's maiden name was Toft, if that comes up as well. They were married in September of 1891 but I don't know if they were when the census took place. I think they lived in White Owl Road. Thanks again!
