mab Report 20 Aug 2003 12:16

Thank you Meryl, please could you see if there is a 'Jarvis' family in Lakenham, Norfolk? Marian

Twinkle Report 20 Aug 2003 16:30

Could yopu please do me a huge favour and look up two names for me from the Warwick census? The first is John Jones, he may have been a steel toymaker in Aston. The second is John Herrick. His middle initial may or may not be 'D', and his occupation was either brickmaker or 'cork sock manufacturer'. I'd really appreciate knowing just how many John Herricks there were. The one I'm looking for should be in Birmingham/Aston/Edgbaston. Sorry this is so unspecific, I only learnt about them today when their offsprings' marriage certificate arrived!

Trish Report 20 Aug 2003 16:41

Hi Meryl, when you have time could you have a look for anyone named Morrell probably in Tiverton, Dulverton, Bampton and Morebath please. Sorry it's several areas but they kept moving! Thankyou for the offer Trish

David Report 20 Aug 2003 16:59

If you have time could you look for Thomas White age 4 born Bampton, Devon and/or Joseph Webber age 4 born Hemyock, Devon

Andy Report 20 Aug 2003 17:30

Hi, could you look up a name for me on the Warwick census, if you have a moment? I'm looking for Thomas SPEARS, aged 21 or thereabouts, living in the Aston/Birmingham area. His occupation ought to be Brass Founder or some slight variation on that title. He got married to Elizabeth BARNES in June of 1851 so he may or may not be living with his parents. Thanks Andy.

Meryl Report 20 Aug 2003 17:37

Hi Everyone I will certainly do my best for you all, it might take me a little time . Tracey I only have Census for Norfolk, Devon and Warwick. Trish are these places in Devon? Meryl

Trish Report 20 Aug 2003 18:14

Hi Meryl, it's Trish. Yeeees! the places I have mentioned are sometimes included in the Devon area - they are all very borderline.

Patricia Report 20 Aug 2003 18:20

Have a good time dancing, hopefully you will be back with more help !!

Cazziemc Report 20 Aug 2003 18:56

Hello Meryl, could you have a quick look if you can find Thomas Davies, labourer born Plymouth and his wife Mary, born Ireland. Thomas was born in approx 1821 and Mary born in approx 1811 (cradle snatcher!!). I know it is a common name, and if I have not given you enough info, please don't waste your time looking. Thank you. Carol.

David Report 20 Aug 2003 19:07

Thanks for the help - surprised you've still got the energy for dancing

James Report 20 Aug 2003 19:26

Meryl, Any chance that you could check the Norfolk 1851 census for a James Dickerson who would be 5 or 6 years of age at this time having been born in 1846. I think that he is my great great grandfather. Hopfully the census will show his parents and any other family members. I am aware that a number of people have already requested your help and that this will take your valuable time but should you assist I would be more than pleased. Jim P.s. I forgot to add that in 1851 the family were residing in Swaffam, Norfolk.
