Member Since: May 2003 Posts: 36 Send Message	Hello.Does anyone have any idea how pensions were collected in the 19th century?I can't imagine them toddling down to the post office with a pension book like today, so how were they paid and where were they collected from? As a lot of people couldn't write in those days, I am wondering how it was all organised? Lynne
