NICOLA I'm sorry to have mislead you, Stuart is right you dont have to be a member of the Family History Society to view.(I could have sworn I had to enter my membership number) You can search for a name and it tells you how many people there are with that name and the districts they are recorded in,it then tells you how much you have to pay (sometimes as little as 5p sometimes £5 depending on how many names are listed) If at first you dont find the person you want, try another approach ie. I was looking for my great aunt, I got the message NOT FOUND, then when I searched for her husband,he was there and she was- listed in the same household.
