Andrea - Re FreeBMD, no not all records upto 1906 have been transcribed, far from it in fact. However they have transcribed a large number of records between 1837 and 1906. For some years nothing has been transcribed at all. Its a little hit and miss but the following page gives a guide: http://www.freebmd.org.uk/progress.shtml June/Nicola - Just to clarify, you don't need to be a member of your local FHS in order to use FamilyHistoryOnline it is open to everyone.
