christine, have you gleaned evry last crumb of info off the 1881 and 1901 censuses online plus the familysearch, freebmd and the new 1837indexes? Have you surfed Genuki or cyndis list? If all your tree is done back to 1837, censuses are no good to you anyway, you need to visit the localities of the relevant districts or join the local history socities. If you are stuck on a direct line back, use the siblings you have found off 1881 aaand 1901 and track them and they might give you more clues to work on--happy hunting!
