William Green married to Louisa Mary Ann Pique (sometimes known as Louisa Irons) in Dover in the early 1900's. How can I find out when and where they married and any subsequent children?
William was dead by 1906, so must have been between 1900-1906.
Many thanks,
Sue

Was the listing for the marriage exactly Dover, or just the area near it? If so, what area was it listed as - it might help with the search.

Hi Shirley,
Bought the cert for William Green married 1903 in Dover, but this was the wrong one.
Can't find another in Dover.
What can I do next?

Sue

But if she was sometimes known as Louisa Irons how do you know its not the right one

This is what I know of the family.
Lewis Archibald Pique was born in 1853 in Dover.
He married to Louisa Fanny Brown Irons born 1852 in Dover.
Their children were Lewis Henry Pique born 1880 Dover and Louisa Mary Ann Pique born 1883 Silvertown, Essex.
Louisa Fanny Brown Pique died in 1883 after giving birth to Louisa Mary Ann and Lewis Archibald died soon after, so the two children, Lewis Henry and Louisa Mary Ann were adopted by their uncle Henry William Irons and aunt Mary A. Irons in Dover.

Shirley,
the 1903 marriage of William George Green in Dover was to a Henrietta Pelham, not Louisa Pique.

and the one who married as loiusa Irons was Louisa FANNY irons. her mum was Louisa Fanny too

who did it give as her father on that cert

I,m with you he married Henrietta Pelham also listed on the same page so Louisa must have married Walter Tappenden

seems a big coincidence they are on the same page .

So !! thinking aloud how do you know William Green married Louisa Pique/irons

Hi Susan/Shirley

I think Susan is saying that William married the other woman on the page:

Marriages Sep 1903 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>>GREEN William George Dover 2a 2178
Irons Louisa Fanny Dover 2a 2178
>>Pelham Henrietta Dover 2a 2178
TAPPENDEN Walter John Dover 2a 2178

Susan

Are you certain that your Louisa married a William Green, it seems a bit odd they're on the same page. Could she have married Walter Tappenden?

Angela

Sorry, Shirley - typing at same time!
