Not a problem at all Reggie.

Have been called one of those things but not both together

Was not sure about the email addy being a personal one so did ask the Team if it was okay or not.

Reggie Report 8 May 2013 22:44

The description definitely didn't fit you.............deleted

Shouldn't have assumed........should I?

Just shows what damage is being done by the serial unnamed 'referrer'

That was me Reggie.

Denise opened my pm and did nothing about her post. I sent it for review.

It is a no no to display your email addy on this site so best to edit your post and remove it.

As this thread is dated 2007 have you tried to contact Margaret, click on her board, and if she still has the same email addy then she will get noitification of a message thru GR.

Will send a pm

I lived at the Kennels Croxton from 1954 so I have quite a bit of knowlegde about the place. Email me for further details.

Yes, Id have thought it would be the hunting kennels on an estate. Go to the census image and click backwards to find the name of the big house.

ALTHOUGH, hang on I just googled and found a war memorial entry for a chap whose addy is given as Croxton Kennels - so it may be a long standing name for a hamlet? BUT also on a google found this:

Croxton Park is a large red-brick manor house with wooded grounds and a lake, the historic seats of the Leeds family. The 13th century church is St. James.

Does anyone know anything of this place?

According to Census Returns some of my relatives lived there.

I've tried Googling but without much luck.

I have a feeling that it may have been part of an 'Estate'.

I'd be grateful of any information.
