hi Vicky
thank you for your offer. i've run out of credits and wondering if you could lookup Nicholas Cavillon in the Australian records on Ancestry. Apparently he arrived in Austrailia in 1814. I was wondering what other information is provided in the original image such as whether he was with any family

many thanks
shelly

Hey if your still offering help Im really struggling with my Glenton side of the family.
My great grandfather George Glentons parents are really causing me some trouble. George was born in 1910 his parents are called Joseph Glenton and Mary Stevenson or so I am lead to believe.

Joseph was born about 1860-1865 and I know Mary and Joseph got married in Hull Sculcoates in 1889 because I found that on FreeBMD.

But, I cant seem to find them anywhere else, and I cant seem to find them in any census' so Ive come to a complete standstill.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Stephanie

I am looking for a relative of mine, in 1878 aged 18 Janet Locheran bn Newcastle married George Jackson Iin Middlesbrough on her marriage certificate her father is listed as Lewis Locheran (shoemaker), I cannot find a census search for either Janet or Lewis Locheran. A kind member found a listing in 1861 for a Janet Loughrey bn Newcastle but her father is listed as William (shoemaker), his wife Mary and various other siblings all bn Scotland. I have tried to search 1851 in UK and Scotland census but cannot trace any members of this family, would appreciate your help.

Hi Allison,

Re: Thomas Lister

Did he also live in Lancashire? I can't find a single Thomas Lister who lived and was born in Lancashire around 1823.

If you have any more info I can look again.

Thanks

Hi Stephanie,

Re: Glenton family

The marriage in 1889 is between a Joseph Glenton and Kate Stevenson, are you sure this is the family you are after?

Without knowing for certain where they lived or where born, it's difficult to decide who they might be.

Maybe you should order George Glenton's birth cert to be sure who his parents were and what occupation his father had. If you have any more info, let me know and I will try again,

Thanks,

Vicky

Hi Vicky,

I might be wrong about Lancashire, his son William Robson Lister b1862 was born in Shropshire and I think he married his second wife in 1860 in Liverpool. He might have connections with Westmorland? Sorry my geography of England not that great as I live in New Zealand.

I think is first wife was Elizabeth Bradley and his 2nd was Ruth Robson.
Ruth is a widow by 1881 census.
They had two other children James 1864 and Margaret 1866.

His children with Elizabeth might have been Thomas c1843, Ann c1845 and John1847 but not 100% sure on this.

Many thanks

Allison
