Somebody e-mailed me today and said I have just googled SADS, no illness no warning I wonder how you have coped, I cannot answer that as I do not know how, but I live each day as it gives me and I just carry on, it is hard to explain how you live on when you have lost a child, hard yes, but I am still here, I guess its just fate.

Well Stephen, your Mother has done it yet again. Took almost four years to buy you a head stone, forever choosing the correct one, got them to alter a few details, perfect, but no, they tell me it is an unusual headstone, and they have only fitted a few, and they are concerned it may tip forward until the cement sets!! so for now you have a few chucks of wood keeping it upright til it sets, next weekend I promise, your resting place will look A! xx.. Loving you and missing you like always.xx.. Your dozy Mumxx..

Just a little nudge to remind you that from January 2010 14 year old teenagers can be tested for SADS xx..

I know nothing I do will bring Stephen back to me, but if by raising funds and awareness can prevent other children leaving us, then I know Stephen would be proud to be a part of it. I will never ever be the same person again, neither will my children, but we take heart by making people aware of this silent killer, and the news from CRY just makes us feel good.
