Thank you Bev, what lovely words.

I hope Dee will read some of these verses and maybe find comfort.

The Mansion of Heaven

This world, however beautiful, was never meant to be
The place that we would call our home for all eternity.
And though we would not choose to leave, a loving
God knows best, and in His time,
He lifts us to a place of peace and rest,
For He has built a mansion where
His children will abide, free from pain and sorrow,
Forever at His side.
He said He’d never leave us to face our trials alone,
And though sometimes we fail Him, He never fails His own.
And even when our choices are less than He would ask,
He knows when human courage is unequal to the task.
We cannot judge what happens,
Though tears and questions start –
We only see what’s visible – God sees into the heart…..

And though there may be many things that we cannot explain,
We can be sure it breaks His heart to see His children’s pain.
In loving arms, He bears us to a quiet place apart
Where He mends the wounded spirit
And heals the broken heart.
And though these one we love so much
Have left our present sight, and passed into a
Better world of majesty and light,
Someday we’ll be together in our Father’s home above,
Where we’ll thank Him for His mercy
And praise Him for His love.

If tomorrow starts without me and I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes are filled with tears for me.
I wish you would not cry the way you did today
While thinking of the many things we did not get to say
I know how much you cared for me, as much as I care for you
And each time you think of me, I know you will miss me too
But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand
And said my place is ready in heaven far above
And that I would have to leave behind all those I dearly love
But as I turned to walk away a tear fell from my eye
For all my life I always thought I did not want to die
I had so much to live for, so much more to do
It seems almost impossible that I was leaving you
But then I fully realised that this could never be
For emptiness and memories would take the place of me
But when I walked through Heaven's gate, I felt so much at home
When God looked down and smiled at me from his great throne
So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we are apart
For every time you think of me, I am right here in your heart...

For all who are hurting...

Hope I'm not wrong in putting this on chat board also.

It is four years that Rita, my Wife, left this world.

For A Loving Wife I was Proud to call Mine

Gone is the face we loved so dear.
Silent is the face we loved to hear.
Too far away for sight or speech,
But not too far for thought to reach,
Sweet to remember her once here,
Who, though absent, is just as dear.

Sadly missed along life's way,
Quietly remembered every day,
No longer in our life to share,
But in our hearts she's always there.

Your presence I miss,
Your memory I treasure,
Loving you always,
Forgetting you never.

Loving you is easy,
We do it every day,
Missing you is a heartache,
That never goes away.

Loving memories of one so dear,
Treasured still with a love sincere,
In our hearts she is living yet,
We loved her too dearly to forget.

It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn't go alone,
For part of me went with you,
The day God called you home.

Although you can't be here with me,
We're truly not apart,
Until the final breath I take,
You'll be living in my heart.
