FUZZY BEAR Report 16 May 2008 15:02

hi den~~~still haven't gone yet but will in a min lol

Chris Report 16 May 2008 15:02

Bye Eldrick nice chatting to you

SallyF Report 16 May 2008 15:02

And I could mention many more places.

Are there people around with so little in their lives that a person leaving an internet forum is reason for them to try and lay the law down to others and jump down their throats because they don't weep and wail that someone has gone? Good grief, there are people dying and living in misery and yet here, where we're all tucked up in our nice comfy houses, safe and comparatively well off some are prepared to call other members him/her/it and call others 'nasty' and 'troublemakers' just because they see things differently.

Eldrick, keep up the good work with your posts in cutting through the rubbish.

FUZZY BEAR Report 16 May 2008 15:05

Rambling Rose Report 16 May 2008 15:14

to be hoped you are never in need of some comfort then Sylvia...I appreciate the fun threads...but I certainly wouldn't beliitle those who may not have a network of family or friends and find support and comfort in times of illness on this board...

One member died this year...she always posted hopefully...and maybe prayers and lit candles helped give a little comfort and hope?

tory Report 16 May 2008 15:22

i have a thread on here for autisum and adhd and we give each other a lot of suport but we don't do it with hugs , positive thought and candles anything like that can be done by pm

John Report 16 May 2008 15:24

Has he REALLY gone ?????????????????

Rambling Rose

Rambling Rose Report 16 May 2008 15:26

no Tory and that is fair enough, ...but some find comfort and support in other ways.....

I am not usually one to ask for candles or prayers...but it is nice to get a few (((hugs))) when you are down...even if they serve no 'practical' purpose...

yes they can of course be sent by so can anything!

Rose xx

tory Report 16 May 2008 15:29

I agree RR we do all need hugs at times but there are so many on the boards at times it gets to much .I also suport people but do it by pm .I think a much better way to do it :-))

John Report 16 May 2008 15:30

I'm with you on this one Rose.... John x

SallyF Report 16 May 2008 15:31

The threads for support and positive thoughts, hugs etc I can fully understand. I may not participate in them, but each to their own with that.
Why though on some threads the OP seems to feel they have a right to say who posts what and when puzzles me. It's a site that every member of GR has access to and therefore every member has the right to post on every thread. I have actually seen some OPs telling other posters to 'get off MY thread' when once it's gone live for all to see it belongs to no-one in particular.

Eldrick Report 16 May 2008 15:32

So is the {{{HUG }}}} back on then.....?

Rambling Rose

Rambling Rose Report 16 May 2008 15:33

I do know what you mean Tory, it can seem like the whole page is a 'support ' thread on occasion...but that is not so often and I feel it is one of the strengths of this site that people who need it can feel comfortable enough to ask openly and be given help...however one chooses to do it....

SallyF Report 16 May 2008 15:34

I don't think Julia came back for that Eldrick. : )

Wild Cat Report 16 May 2008 15:34

Eldrick Report 16 May 2008 15:35

So...I wonder how far she would like me to go....ponders on a mental image.......

tory Report 16 May 2008 15:35

yes sally your right you have the right to post on any thread :-))

Eeyore13 Report 16 May 2008 15:35
